Hey,

Nice to be here with you guys! My first day in Retro-wow!

Few new starter questions..

Where can I get some initial cash for my mount?
Where is the best place to start for a single Mage or Pal?
Are you guys still spending time in T1 T2 T3?

Thanks a lot!

most importantly - what UI can I use? where to download it?

Welcome!

1) Mounts are Free, well for alliance the swift sabers and horde the swift wolves. other mounts range from 100g to 1000g. Riding skill is free.

2) Start off with doing the Dew quests its the easiest one to solo(i think the quest reward is about 130gold for 2 quests). Cursed Island is 700g per a quest but requires a group, but there is always groups going. Gear wise, hit up aq 20 and zg there is also quest for those, i think its 300g per quest, plus you will get gear. Gold has great value because you can purchase t1 up to t3 gear and weapons. The server is grossly inflated, but you will get used to the pricing system.

3) Yes, but not so much t1 because MC, despite being the entry level raiding zone is the pretty tough and long (if you in full blues, i would say a t2+ group with knowledge will finish it easier) on this server. T1 also gets easily replacedby getting more gold and doing more raids, but some people still use it for set bonuses. (raids are 5man btw)

4) What UI? This is vanilla style wow, basic ui is BIS makes things more fun , making macro's etc is part of the experience. I personally only use 2 add ons, Trinket menu and ez dismount. There is forum post on macros, and if you google vanilla wow add ons there are tons of pages with links and descriptions of add ons.

Hope that answered all your questions, you can also ask in world chat, ignore the trolls, some people are legit on what they will tell you.

If you have any further questions, feel free to contact me in game

Thank you, Mort.

addon question..
Yes, I do need trinket menu and ez dismount. I downloaded "Lazy Pig". Which folder should I put to?

DISK:/RETROWOW/interface    or
DISK:/RETROWOW/interface/addon

and how to active it in game?

When you log in on your character page in the bottom left you should see a button "addons" click on it and activate your addons

why I don't have that a button "addons" click on it on my character page?

Did you unzip the file before putting it in the addon folder.. Also delete your wdb folder, kinda refreshes everything in the file location.
