Updated Bug Report System
Dear members,
The staff and I are happy to announce that we will be adopting a new system for players and staff to report in-game bugs and issues. This new method will streamline information directly to our developers and allow us to access significantly more detailed and precise bug reports with your ever appreciated support.
If you have a bug you would like to report, you will now be required to create a GitHub account. Do not fear! This account in no way allows anyone to view any personal details, and is a secure and safe method of providing as much details as you would like about any issue or topic that requires the attention of the staff.
After you have created your GitHub account, you may view our BugTracker in real time, and post issues directly to where our developers can view them.
In order for any reports to be applicable, there are some guidelines that you should follow when using the template. Please take your time to read and understand the format in which we accept reports.
Before reporting any bugs and issues, we kindly ask that you please clear your cache files.(WDB)
Quote:Deleting those folders is in essence restoring the game to a "first run" status, where as far as the client is considered it was never run before. People do this to resolve errors that come up on the client or add-ons.
Doing it is simple, go to your WoW install folder (default is C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\ and select and delete the appropriate folders.

Your WDB folder (which should be cleared as often as once a week to ensure proper gameplay,) contains client side data that is cached from the moment you begin to play on the realm.

A much more detailed explanation of what this all does can be found here.
Primarily, each issue should only be reported on one report, meaning that we do not accept more than one issue per report. The reason for this is so that our staff can tackle each issue in a periodical fashion and fix problems exclusively to the associated issue or bug.
When you open a report, please identify the spell or item or NPC in the title of your report, and if possible include all relating spell/item/NPC IDs from a verified 1.12 Vanilla Database inside your report. This allows development to tackle issues directly and immediately, instead of searching on our own time for what ID you might or might not be referencing.
After you have gathered all the information that you can provide about a particular issue, please use our format to concisely and individually describe each step you take in reproducing the referenced issue or bug, and to provide as much details as you can so that we can understand exactly what the issue is, and how it should be corrected for proper gameplay.
We also request that you would always include a source when submitting any report concerning how a spell/item/NPC should work as according to an archive or video proof of how this spell/item/NPC worked in the original version of World of Warcraft 1.12. Our aim is to simulate the same mechanics and gameplay as was provided in the early versions of this game.
Are you still following me? Good! Now comes the fun part! You may submit your report directly to our BugTracker after you have gathered all the necessary data and information related to the issue. Our staff will be immediately alerted to this new issue, and we will be able to communicate directly to you via the report itself with any questions or comments we might have.
To conclude, in lieu of our new reporting system, we will be soft-deleting the bug report section on this forum. These reports are not lost; our staff can still view them at any time, however there is no reason for us to continue using our old format on the forums due to the efficiency of our new system.
Your devotion and fellowship are acknowledged. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to assisting in making Retro-WoW an even better place to spend recreation!
